1. Hi, kids! My name is Willie Wiredhand. I am here to tell you about electricity.
2. Electricity is used for many things: lights, television, clock, stereo...
3. And many appliances around the home.
4. You even use electricity to play fun video games!
5. Electrical things work when we plug them into an outlet. You should only use electrical outlets with your parents' or an older person's supervision.
6. The electricity I have been talking about comes from the power lines you see outside.
7. Power lines are dangerous and should not be touched! If a power line falls down, stay away from it. If you touch it, it might burn you!
8. If you see a broken power line, ask your mom or dad to call your rural electric cooperative. Or call 911.
9. Willie Wiredhand and his rural electric cooperative family remind us to: Use Electricity With Care!!!
