Meeker Cooperative Energy Management Programs
Dual Fuel Space Heating
Use electricity for space heating, except during time of peak demand when an alternate source is used, such as storage space heating or fossil fuel.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Storage Space Heating
Use “Off Peak” electricity stored in the form of heat between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. and released during the day as heat for your home.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Storage Water Heating
Electric storage water heater or heaters are supplied with electricity between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. to heat your water for the next day.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Cycle Air Conditioning
Your air conditioner is cycled “On” and “Off” during peak demand periods only.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Warm Floors
Install electric cable or electric boilers that gently heat floors to keep your feet warm and toasty during cold winters.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Heat Pump and Cooling
Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling. Heat pumps operate at high efficiencies that exceed 180 percent.
- Rate – 5.0¢/kWh; 5.5¢/kWh June-August
Security Lighting
Available to all customers who want a driveway or yard illuminated from dusk to dawn by a high pressure sodium light on an existing pole. Meeker Cooperative will install and maintain your security light.
- Rate (Billed monthly)
- 100 watt – Direct $10.75; Dispersed $14.75
- 250 watt – Direct $19.50; Dispersed $23.50
Small Single Phase Power
Available for single phase service for all uses subject to Meeker Cooperative rules and regulations and execution of an Application for Membership and Electric Service. Members with demand greater then 20KW for nine of the past 12 months may elect to take service under either Small Single Phase or Large Single Phase. The maximum current during start up of individual motors served under the schedule shall not exceed 260 amps at 240 volts as authorized in advance by Meeker Cooperative.

- Fixed charge – $22.50
- Energy charge
- Summer Months* – 12.3¢/kWh*
- Other Months – 10.3¢/kWh
plus applicable sales tax
Minimum Charges
The minimum charge for Small Single Phase Power is the $22.50. per month base charge for installations, not to exceed 15 KVA of transformer capacity. For services requiring more then 15 KVA of transformer capacity, the minimum shall be:
- 25 KVA transformer……….$32.50
- 37.5 KVA transformer…….$45.00
- 50 KVA transformer……….$57.50
- 75 KVA transformer……….$82.50
- 100 KVA transformer……..$107.50
Power Cost Adjustment (PCA)
The PCA is a charge or credit on your monthly bill to pass through increases or decreases in the cost of purchased power.
*The summer month rate is in effect during the months of June, July, and August.
Energy Management Improvement Loans
Meeker Cooperative members can apply for an Energy Management Space & Water Heating Systems Loan when purchasing and installing Energy Management.
